Best Food Forward 2013

I know it's summer time and we are all up to dieting and slimmer body and all that. But hey! Amidst all that, let's talk about food! ;)

The set of pictures below (which aren't mine) are some on my own list of favorite foods.

To name, those are : Hello Panda, Yan Yan, Almonds Chocs, Macadamia Chocs, Lasagna, Pasta Chorizo, Manhattan Meat Lovers Pasta, Ensaymada, Chicken Chops, Fries, Potato Chips, Takoyaki, Frozen Yogurt, Miso soup, Nachos, Fajitas, and Tacos.

I know we all have a list of our favorite foods. May it be cakes, pastas, chips, biscuits etcetera etcetera. And I know that such list that we have are always open for new entries! And why I am saying all this? Because this month, we will again have a wonderful chance to update our own unique lists!

This year's much awaited summer food fair will happen this April 20-21, 2013 at the NBC Tent from 10 am to 8pm!

There'll be over  a hundred specialty food stalls, innovative cooking demonstrations, celebrity chef appearances, whole family attractions, celebrity guests, and many more, its vibe and atmosphere will definitely make their 3rd year the most memorable to date – one that surely can’t be missed!

And more than that, the Unang Hakbang Foundation, which hosts a weekly feeding for program kids, will again be their beneficiary.

This is an event we all shouldn't miss!

The SUPERHUMANS are back

Last day of our retreat in Baguio.

I tried to look for a good quotation/saying about friendship, something I could use as an introduction for this post, however I found none. I found nothing that could best describe how I feel about them or that could best describe how we are, as friends, as best of friends. And so I would like to believe, that the reason behind such, is because we are different.

After High School all seven of us took up different courses in different universities, but unlike the usual group of friends, we rarely see each other in college. Yes, rarely, despite the proximity of our houses. But it was never because we no longer care for each other nor because we've already found better friends. It is simply because even if we don't see each other regularly, we know deep inside that we got each other's back and that our friendship will stay even without communication at all.

Just last thursday I posted something on our facebook page to finally set a date for our get-together. Well, it's because I miss them, but part of it is because I really wanted to watch the Sarah-John Lloyd movie, It takes a Man and a Woman - which didn't happen because of reasons better be kept unsaid. Hehehe.

Anyway, our day still went amazing just how it is supposed to be. Indeed, seeing our high school buddies or bestfriends or barkada or group after quite a long time will always evoke nostalgic memories  and at the same time will leave feelings of enjoyment and happiness in our hearts.

Spending time with them is like going back to high school all over again. With only few hours together, we recalled a bunch of silly things we did; hilarious jokes we laughed at; unforgettable happenings we witnessed; and all those damn good moments we shared. Extremely, we had great four years of high school together.

After four years of living our own lives in college, I could say that we're still that same MFC we used to be, pero mas amazing na. Hahaha.

Here are some pictures from their phones. :D

From left to right: Jomalene, Florence, Me, Christian, Judy, Bryan, Glaiza.

After quite a long walk :)

Belgian waffle, mangga, sinkamas, fries, tempura, takoyaki, quail eggs and gulaman :)
It was a day of loud hilarious laughters!
We're back! MFC is back! Superhumans are back!

And so there's a happy kid here :))
