Tangled lines at night
Today I did something.
Something that might be right, but might also be wrong eventually.
Something I really wanted to happen, but something I never wanted myself to do.
Something that I've been waiting for but still came like a bolt from the blue.
Some things are really out of your control.
There will be times that you'll no longer have a choice.
Not even a minute to think and gather your thoughts.
And now it left me with this kind of feeling
A feeling i cannot really fathom.
There are no words to best describe this.
And the best thing to do is to sleep on it.
Something that might be right, but might also be wrong eventually.
Something I really wanted to happen, but something I never wanted myself to do.

Letter to LeBron James
Dear King James,
I know how busy you are and how precious your time is, but I am really hoping you could find time to read this. I don't think I have clear points to make in this post, I have my reasons however, for writing this.
I am never a fan of basketball, not until I was able to watch you play.
I just want you to know how much you are loved and adored. I don't know how to say this in the nicest way, but I guess you wouldn't mind if go directly to the point. There are people who doesn't like you, or in a much candid way, there are people who hate you. But what's much worse with this, is that some people are acting this way for no apparent reason. I don't know if there's still a need for me to say this, but still, I will. Just ignore them, or if you're already doing so, then just keep doing it. And while you are ignoring them, always bear in mind that you have more than five million followers on twitter and more than twelve million 'likers' on facebook. Remember that everytime you do your thing inside the court, all this people are stamping their feet, yelling, cheering, and clapping for you. Again, you are loved.
Bunch of people cannot help but compare you with other different players especially with the man who owns jersey #24 from Lakers. And unfortunately, I was part of that bunch of people. I know, that shouldn't be the thing, because you two are two great players in your own different ways. But like I said, I can't help but to wrestle with your haters because it hurts my ears and eyes everytime I am seeing and hearing all those jokes mocking you. But I just realized, that if all those things pains me, what more does it do to you. And if I'm telling you to ignore them, then I must also tell it to myself.

When the Dallas Mavericks won that Game 6 in Miami Court last year, I almost cried. That's how affected I am. So I don't have to say anything when you had your first ring this year. #Congratulations :)
Please win the Eastern Conference again. And have your second ring next year. We know you can, we know Miami Heat can. May God bless you King LeBron Raymone James!
Sincerely,
Desh, not a basketball analyst

DISASTER without a name
Is it too late? No, I think it's not.
So for three consecutive days the Philippines faced this 'bagsik ng habagat' / 'hagupit ng habagat' or in english, monsoon and yes, it wasn't even a typhoon. And this disaster killed less than a hundred of Filipinos, some were drowned, some were electrocuted, some were buried alive because of landslides, and some suffered from heart attack. Needless to say how many houses and other properties were destroyed. Philippines was once again in a mess.

But this isn't the first time, as per my experience. Year 2009, Philippines was devastated by typhoon Ondoy, last year we were also quite devastated by typhoon Sendong and now, the country has again been devastated by a natural disaster, however this time, without a name.
As I've said, Philippines was again in a mess, but it also gave us the opportunity to again prove to the world how resilient and optimistic we are.

We showed the world how an ordinary Filipino would risk his own life for the life of others he doesn't even know.
We showed the world how deep our faith in God is.
We showed the world how we could see hope in such tragic things.
We showed the world how we can still manage to smile despite of an ocean of problems we have.
And once again we showed the world what our very own 'bayanihan' really means.
