Happy and at ease :)

It was an unforgettable day indeed.

Pardon me for I will tell everything straight to the point, I just have no time and energy to make this post pretty much exciting. :)

Today, for the very first time, I stood in front of a crowd, held a microphone and served as the master of ceremonies. I know, this is not quite a big thing to some, but it is for me. It’s a big accomplishment for someone like me who trembles every time I have to address a large number of people.
Also, I might not be able to do my part so well, but I believe I was successful enough, regardless of other people’s opinion.
I am happy, and very proud of myself.
*Pictures to be added soon

Anyway, the event I hosted was about our approaching OJT/Practicum. Most probably, I will be working at the Department of Foreign Affairs, but I am still undecided on what office to choose.

*The day was unforgettable because of that :P However, somehow, this might add to it :P

After class, me my friends and Msr Ron decided to have a walk around Intramuros. No, actually, we are just supposed to go to the Manila Cathedral, however, there was a wedding going on, so we stayed infront of it, on the fountain area specifically for a short while, then finally decided to walk again.

@ the fountain area

We also stopped @ the mini stop to buy ice cream :)

And then we walked again. We had a long walk, i tell you! :)

Of course, we enjoyed taking pictures. These are some of our  freakin’ “trying-hard” jump shots.

And this was the best shot of all (for me).

*obviously edited :)

PS.
Yes, I wasn’t able to change for a more comfy clothes. Haha. It’s distracting. LOL
Also, pictures were taken using my phone, too bad we had no real camera.
Forgive me for some errors i am hell tired!

C'est tout :)
*Happy thoughts, Positive outlook :) <3

Aplomb

*aplomb |əˈpläm; əˈpləm|
noun
- self-confidence or assurance, esp. when in a demanding situation

Come to me and fill in
Let me absorb everything and start again
I need to face the world i longed to see
And stand before all with full pride and sincerity

I've been here for years waiting
With my head held low, hesitating
Hiding against every shadow ahead
Biting my lips with both knees trembling

All those words i should have said
All those thoughts i should have shared
And all those times i should have stood
I've let every bit of fear triumph over me

I've been here for years waiting
Gathering all pieces of strength i need
To finally voice out what's inside
And let the world stare and mesmerize

Come to me and fill in
And let all these fantasies take place
Help me crack the wall hampering me
So that i could turn all my dreams into reality.

This is random :)

Tomorrow, i will visit my HS principal to hand him the formal letter regarding our Org's event, 15th Search for Future Diplomats. I am to ask him to send two representatives for the said competition. Yes, never in my life i thought i would be doing these kinds of things. Okay t'was too exaggerated :)
--
Since last year, our org president has been bragging to everyone, that I will be the next FSC (Foreign Service Club) president. And right then, i already said no. And now, i think she's obviously getting really serious, and i honestly don't know what to do. Forgive me, but i really don't trust myself. Yes, once in my life i dreamt of this, to take control, to stand out, to lead, however, right this moment, my confidence is still too much below the line. :(

This is such a monumental responsibility. Maybe i can handle it, however, my fear to fail and disappoint people is too overpowering.  I am hell afraid, and very hesitant.

If ever i would end up taking the position, help me God. Really, help me. Give me the best people to work with.
If the contrary happens, how i wish the feeling of regret wouldn't kill me.

Campaign slash Election is coming :) Too excited. #PartidoIndependiente

I badly want a new book. Oh good people, please give me one! The list is right here -BOOKS I WANT TO READ- Thank you so much in advance :)

Indestructible Filipino faith

Last January 09, 2012 amidst the threat of terrorist attack, Filipino people proved to the world their strong and indestructible faith. Millions of Filipino people cluster together to again pay homage to the Black Nazarene.
Many was expecting that this year’s feast would attract less devotees because of the rumors of terrorist attack, however, Filipino people obviously defied this threat. Devotees this year was even bigger than last year’s.
Why? Is it because Filipinos find faith as the only answer to their problems? Is it because, Filipinos has no one to turn to but God? Or on a political tone, is it because, they no longer believe that government officials can still uplift them from where they are right now? I believe yes.
Most devotees are obviously poor, for they were there, hoping for something in return. The sick are hoping to be healed, hungry are praying for food, and hopeless are hoping for miracles to happen. This is because; government wasn’t able to provide for the people. Government wasn’t able to fill their role of uplifting the lives of the poor.
Most of the devotees of the Black Nazarene connect their current situation of poverty and sufferings to the hardships experienced by Jesus. Moreover, this image has survived a burning ship upon its arrival from Mexico, that made its complexion turned to black. And with that, Black Nazarene has truly gained enormous mass appeal.
I believe that this occurrence is nothing but normal. Filipino people are known in history having a passionate religious belief, and this is something to expect for. We believe in God more than anything else.
Filipino people were able to prove their sense of unity not just in religious times like this, but also in times of great need for change. Filipinos survived People Power I and II, and after another remarkable event, everyone could still expect that Filipino people are still ready to go out on the streets, stand together as one and fight against anything.
For the moment, I believe that it is not the whole government or the particular administration to be alarmed but the culprits not just of today but also of yesterday.

Another Phase in the Philippine Political Arena : The Corona Trial

Fighting corruption was the main feature of Aquino's political campaign last year, however, he also stressed his drive for a “straight path” (“daang matuwid”). In accordance to this, he was also in a way saying that those people who have done wrong in this country must now be alarmed. Achieving that so-called straight path requires the administration not just to keep an eye on the present public officials but also to look back and give justice as to whatever and whoever left that maybe given justice.
The most surprising and biggest achievement of Aquino’ administration might be putting the former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo behind bars. Who would have thought? Right? Now, still towards achieving that straight path, the Supreme Court itself is being put on the limelight. It is now marred with bias and inclination in favor of the former president who appointed the current Chief Justice. The Aquino’s administration has been after putting the dishonest if not corrupt public officials into account. And now, this is the time for the so-called “midnight appointee” to be on the hot seat.
How could this country move straight forward and find justice if the branch of government itself who was tasked to provide it is unjust and prejudiced?
Back on the issue, Chief Justice Renato Corona admits specific parts of the impeachment complaint however, strongly denies major accusations against him. According to him, the eight-point complaint against him is merely against his personal actions and the actions or decisions given by the Supreme Court.

To elaborate, first, he denies the allegation that he is not giving the Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth, well in fact he was submitting it every year without delay. Second, he denies the issue calling him a midnight appointee because according to him, his appointment undergone a long process in accordance with the constitution. Third, he emphasize that he is not the only person deciding on a particular case. He said that there were 15 of them who have one equal vote each, and that each of them are equal. And finally, he denies that the Supreme Court is inclined with the former president. According to CJ Corona, the Supreme Court’s decisions are unbiased and are results of individual opinions. He particularly mentioned, that the Chief Justice’s decision is not the decision of the Supreme Court.

Chief Justice Renato Corona strongly believes that President Aquino’s main target was to put him down, and make the people lose trust on the Supreme Court. He believes that the current president would just want to control every branches of the government and in the future, rule this country as a dictator.

Personally, I believe that what is happening now between the executive and the judicial department is just fair and right, and should have been actually done earlier.
I believe that Chief Justice Corona is not genuine for his position. First, knowing evidently how the former president has luxuriously used our money and took advantage of the country and her fellow Filipinos, most of the names if not all who would be associated with hers is I believe questionable. Second, CJ Corona has voted favorably for Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo nineteen times in a row, and I believe this is enough to say that he decides in accordance with his personal loyalty and not in favor of the people.
Moreover, I believe that whether President Aquino has been taking this issue personally, it cannot deny the fact that there are enough reasons and evidences to impeach the Chief Justice. Whether President Aquino is taking this on the personal level or not, the truth still remains that Chief Justice Renato Corona deserved to be asked to step down.
Is President Aquino destroying the credibility of the Supreme Court?
No. He just allowed the public to know that the Supreme Court is not anymore credible. President Aquino had just pave the way for a more transparent and honorable Supreme Court for all.
It is him, the Chief Justice, who destroyed that credibility he himself was talking about. It was not the President, nor anyone else. President Aquino just took the right actions to straighten the line, and it just so happened that the Chief Justice was caught out of that same line.
President Aquino might have mouthed some offensive allegations to Chief Justice Corona, but like what the Chief Justice has said, he and the Supreme Court are not one. This just means that the Aquino administration is after him, and not the Supreme Court itself.
I believe that Chief Justice Corona was just trying to change the main issue, which is him, to be fully impeached.
However, how will this impeachment issue affect the Philippine Economy?
The Palace believes that this impeachment trial is unlikely to turn off investors or stall economic growth. They believe that whatever is going to happen in the political landscape won’t affect the economic landscape. However, I believe this is not absolutely true. The one who is on trial is no less than the head of the Judiciary and it’s a co-equal branch of the Executive and the Legislative branches, meaning, this involves very important political personalities running the country. I believe that this impeachment trial would soon affect the economy. The trial will last for 6 months, and in this span of time, I believe that some investors would be deciding to hold if not withdraw. Investors might doubt and assume that the trial would trigger chaos among people, thus putting their investments at risk.
Nevertheless, I also believe that soon after this trial, if CJ Corona would be found guilty, and the country would show a better political standing, then it will again attract investors and consequently increase employment rate. If the country would be able to show improvement and be able to bring back the Supreme Court’s credibility, then it might attract more and more investors for we are able to show the world how brave we are to start a fight for justice and be responsible enough to bring back what is lost.
Every Filipino, would just have to hope for this impeachment trial to proceed without triggering chaos amongst people. We should just hope that this trial be done with full honesty and integrity.
            May the Philippines prosper!

Love has always been there

Alone in a small dark room
Filled with own thoughts
With words floating and banging
And all emotions hanging

Questions left unanswered
Questions not even mouthed
Feelings that deserved to be requited
Feelings that was never expected

Love has always been there
In the middle of everyone else
However not being noticed
'Coz everyone is afraid to admit it

How profound love could be?
How endless we could see?
How forbearing are we suppose to be?
To have that true love we foresee.

Some are patiently waiting
Others are eagerly searching
Some already found it
Others just merely can't see it

Love could be so magical
That reality could no longer grasp
Love could be so captivating
That people could no longer quit

From those who love so secretly
To those who love so evidently
Love has always been there
In the middle of everyone else
